Tailor Europe Your Way Guide

Tailor Europe Your Way: A guide to Scenic Freechoice activities on Europe's rivers

When you're planning your Europe river cruise, you may be considering the places you will visit, how busy the days are and how active the excursions might be. During a Scenic river cruise, we aim to ensure you gain you a deeper understanding of all the ‘must-see’ sights, but with the right amount of flexibility to explore at your own pace. Our expert Journey Designers curate experiences which take our guests beyond the ordinary, revealing hidden gems away from the busy tourist trails. The extensive, handpicked collection of immersive shore excursions, named Scenic Freechoice, are all-inclusive activities that allow you to personalise your river cruise, so you can experience your European holiday, your way and at your own pace.

Choose Your Pace

We understand that each guest is unique and so are their holiday styles. You might like to take it easy and savour each moment as it comes, or you might like to see as many sights as possible within a limited period. In addition, you may enjoy highly active days, or you may prefer easier paced touring. All Scenic Freechoice activities have been divided into active, moderate, and relaxed pace so you can choose those which best suit your interests day-to-day. There are active hikes and more energetic excursions, comfortable walking options and slower paced activities where you can enjoy a show or take part in an on board experience.
