River Cruising in Bordeaux

Cruise the waterways of Bordeaux and experience the beauty, history and gastronomy of France.

Boasting exceptional wine, spectacular scenery and the largest urban World Heritage-listed site, the Bordeaux region is the ideal destination for a luxury river cruise.

With us you will drift down the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers, explore the Gironde Estuary and visit the ports of Cadillac, Pauillac, Blaye, Libourne and, of course, Bordeaux. With no overnight sailing on our itinerary you can expect to encounter all the charming sights of a French river cruise.

The two rivers that lead into Western Europe’s largest estuary each have their own alluring attractions and picturesque ports. But it is undoubtedly the exceptional wine produced just beyond the riverbanks that is the region’s most coveted gem.

Sail with us on the Left Bank of the Gironde and you will discover the commune Pauillac as well as Château Giscours. Home to some of the finest wines in the world, Pauillac is best known for harbouring three of the five premier cru châteaux of Bordeaux, while Château Giscours is famous for its spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Bordeaux city and Cadillac are also jewels of the region and as our guest, you will discover the highlights. While in Bordeaux city, you will have the opportunity to explore the magnificent galleries and museums, take a walk down the historic Quartier Saint-Pierre and visit the magnificent department store Galeries Lafayette. Although smaller, the medieval fortified town of Cadillac is equally charming and one of the sites you can look forward to here is the elegant Château de Cadillac.

While the Left Bank of the Gironde is best known for its red wines, the Right Bank is known for its whites. In this region, you will visit the town of Cognac, famous for Cognac Fine Champagne, the stronghold Blaye, known for its World Heritage-listed city walls and fort, and Libourne, home to exceptional Grand Cru classé wine and quaint 16th century townhouses.
