    From Dublin we cruise across the Irish Sea to the unique self-governed Isle of Man and from there wind our way along the western isles of Scotland before exploring the remote northern isles, which are rich in Viking history.

  • 11 Day Itinerary

    • Day 1 - Dublin

      Welcome to Dublin and step into a world of wonder as you board Scenic Eclipse. Tonight raise your glass to toast the start of your luxurious cruise. Please book flights to arrive by 12pm.

    • Day 2 - Isle of Man

      Uncover the secrets of Peel and its castle or take a ride on the steam railway to Castletown. Choose to follow the heritage trail to Cregneash and the Living Folk Museum or ride in a luxury trike on the famous TT course. The more active can take a guided hike around Peel Castle.

    • Day 3 - Belfast

      Discover Belfast and the Titanic Museum or take a ride in a black cab to learn about Belfast’s past and present from your engaging driver. Alternatively play a round of golf.


      Be hosted by Lord and Lady Dunleath for High Tea at their private country estate Ballywalter Park.

    • Day 4 - Isle of Islay > Iona

      The small and pretty Isle of Islay is home to eight working whiskey distilleries and the famous Whiskey Festival held in May each year.


      Slainte – learn about the secrets of making the famous Islay Malts on a distillery tour, or take a guided hike.

      late afternoon arrival to Iona, known as the ‘cradle of Christianity’ in Scotland thanks to its 400-year history as a Gaelic monastery, allows exclusive access to the Abbey and the Monastery for Scenic Eclipse guests.

    • Day 5 - Staffa > Tobermory

      An afternoon of exploration by Zodiac or kayak awaits at the small volcanic island of Staffa with its basalt columns and sea caves.
      This evening arrive to colourful Tobermory on the Island of Mull.

    • Day 6 - Tobermory

      Learn about the history of Clan Maclean at Duart Castle or uncover the life story of Lachlan Macquarie and visit his mausoleum. Some of the best birdwatching opportunities are found on the Isle of Mull, and you can search for a variety of species on a Zodiac or kayak excursion. The more active can choose a hike with a local guide.

    • Day 7 - The Hebrides

      Enjoy discovery excursions by Zodiac and kayak to search for marine and bird species. Or you can choose a ranger-led walk or a visit to the remarkable Kinloch Castle.

    • Day 8 - Stornoway

      Originally a Viking settlement, and now a bustling hub for the arts and Gaelic heritage.


      Uncover the intriguing Viking and Iron Age history, or at Harris Distillery sample the local malt.
      Alternatively play a round of golf, or explore by Zodiac or kayak in search of bird and marine life.

      You can explore Stornoway at your leisure.

    • Day 9 - Kirkwall

      Kirkwall, the ancient capital of Orkney, offers an intriguing mix of ancient history, Viking heritage and Scottish traditions that you can discover during your free time this evening.


      Uncover the Neolithic history and visit the World Heritage-listed Ring of Brodar or taste local brews at Highland Park Distillery and Orkney Brewery. You can also choose to witness local artisans at a demonstration or take a walking tour and enter St Magnus Cathedral. The more active can take a guided kayak or Zodiac adventure.

    • Day 10 - Lerwick

      Closer to Norway than Scotland, the Shetland Islands boast astounding archaeological sites, ancient ruins and Viking and Norse influences.


      Explore Jarlshof prehistoric site or discover the Norse history on your tour of the town and Shetlands Museum. Or choose to discover Scalloway and enter the Museum, or play golf.

    • Day 11 - Bergen

      Bergen signals the end of your cruise as you disembark taking with you a lifetime of wonderful memories. Please book flights to depart after 1pm.
