  • 27 Day Itinerary

    • Day 1 - Berlin

      Your journey begins in glorious Berlin. Upon arrival you’ll be transferred to your luxurious hotel for a three night stay. This evening join your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome drink.

    • Day 2 - Berlin > Potsdam > Berlin

      Journey to Potsdam, where a local historian will share his insights on the town and its history. Later, visit the Cecilienhof Palace where the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. This afternoon, see the Brandenburg Gate, State Opera House and Alexander Platz. Then drive the famous ‘Unter den Linden’ and visit the former Checkpoint Charlie area.

      Enjoy coffee and cake under the famous glass dome of the renovated Reichstag Building that was set on fire in 1933.

    • Day 3 - Berlin

      Visit the moving Berlin Wall memorial and the Hackesche Höfe, then ride Berlin’s subway and learn the historic details of the city’s Cold War period. Alternatively, enjoy a cruise of the Spree River, and take in the city’s fine architecture from the water.

    • Day 4 - Berlin > Warsaw

      This morning board a train and enjoy Poland’s serene countryside as we travel from Berlin. This evening, you’ll arrive in Warsaw, Poland’s cultural, entertainment and financial capital for the next two nights.

    • Day 5 - Warsaw

      Warsaw was largely destroyed in World War II, but the historic centre has been rebuilt and has since attained World Heritage-listed status. Today you’ll visit the Jewish Ghetto with a local guide for a striking reminder of the suffering endured in WWII. You’ll also see the monument to the Ghetto heroes, the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial – all remarkable landmarks in this diverse and history-rich land.

      You have two vastly different but equally interesting options. Tour the opulent Royal Castle, or visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum for an interesting insight into this part of Polish history.

    • Day 6 - Warsaw > Vilnius

      After breakfast, depart Warsaw. Your route will take you into the pristine Mazurian region. Then, cross the border into Lithuania and continue on to the capital and your base for the next two nights,Vilnius.

    • Day 7 - Vilnius

      Delight in an insightful walking tour around the Old Town with its many famous examples of Baroque architecture. You’ll see all the famous landmarks, including the University, the Gates of Dawn, with its remarkable chapel, and the famous Vilnius Cathedral.

    • Day 8 - Vilnius > Riga

      Today depart Vilnius and drive north to the extraordinary Hill of Crosses. This symbol of Christian resistance to the Soviets features millions of small crosses which were repeatedly bulldozed during the occupation. Continue on to Riga and visit Rundale Palace and its magnificent gardens before checking into your hotel, your base for the next two nights.

    • Day 9 - Riga

      This morning, embark on a discovery of Riga’s Old Town. Then, tour the Ethnographical Open-Air Museum for an insight into Latvia’s heritage.

    • Day 10 - Riga > Sigulda > Tallinn

      Today you’ll visit Sigulda, set in the Gauja River Valley and known as the Switzerland of Latvia. Explore the stunning landscapes of this region and visit Turaida Castle. After lunch continue towards Tallinn, passing through Parnu, Estonia’s summer capital. Arrive in Tallinn and relax at your hotel, your home for the next two nights.

    • Day 11 - Tallinn

      Today you’ll discover Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Tallinn’s famed Town Hall.

    • Day 12 - Tallinn > Helsinki

      Today, relax on board your hydrofoil ride across the Baltic Sea to the trendy Finnish capital, Helsinki. On arrival enjoy a guided sightseeing tour before arriving at your hotel for your overnight stay.

    • Day 13 - Helsinki >St. Petersburg

      Travel on the high-speed Allegro train to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival board the luxury Scenic Tsar.

      Explore Catherine’s Block and the fountains in the Lower Garden at Peterhof on a guided tour, or be seduced by the sheer extravagance of Peterhof’s Grand Palace, which was modelled on the Palace of Versailles. Alternatively, wander the incomparable Upper and Lower Gardens at Peterhof, including the Palace’s majestic fountains.

      Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, followed by a guided tour of this uniquely beautiful metropolis.

    • Day 15 - St. Petersburg

      Canals and bridges cruise

      Visit magnificent St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city. Or discover the Yusupov Palace, where Rasputin was murdered.

      Following lunch in a local restaurant, enjoy a cruise through the city’s canals and get to glide under some of the city’s 400 bridges.
      Later this evening, please join the Scenic Tsar’s Captain for the official welcome dinner.

    • Day 16 - St. Petersburg

      This morning visit Catherine’s Palace, famous for its grandiose white and gold façade and its elaborate gardens.

      Hermitage Museum

      This morning visit the Hermitage, formerly the Winter Palace and home to the Tsars. Today it houses one of the world’s most magnificent art collections.
      Tonight, join your fellow guests on the Sun Deck as your ship sets sail down the Neva River.

      This morning your ship docks at Kizhi Island – an open air museum with a precious collection of wooden churches and chapels.       Welcome to the fascinating and ancient city of Yaroslavl. In fact, dating back to 1010, it’s even older than mighty Moscow. Today you’ll have an opportunity to visit the Fine Art Museum, housed in the Governor’s mansion, featuring the impressive collection of Russian paintings.

      Golden Ring city

      Scenic Sundowners cruise

      Relax on board as you sail towards Russia’s mightiest city.
