    From travels down the length and breadth of South Africa, along the stunning Garden Route, all the way to the green hills of Natal, Kruger National Park’s Lion Sands Game Reserve, and more. From the roaring splendour of Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls to the incredible sand dunes of the Sossusvlei Desert in Namibia.     • Day 1 - Cape Town
      Highlights:

      Welcome to wonderful Cape Town. Enjoy an exclusive three night Special Stay, with spectacular views of the waterfront and Table Mountain. Tonight, meet your Tour Director for a welcome drink.

    • Day 2 - Cape Town

      Ascend Table Mountain by rotating gondola for wondrous 360 degree views.

      Journey along the Atlantic coastline to Cape Point, stop at the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to an African penguin colony.

      Route 62 drive, Cango Caves

      Stunning semi-desert scenery awaits en route to the town of Oudtshoorn. Later, discover a wonderland of underground chambers at the Cango Caves, among the largest in the world, before your overnight stay.

    • Day 5 - Oudtshoorn > Knysna

      Lagoon cruise

      Learn about Africa’s largest bird at a local ostrich farm, then head to Knysna on the Garden Route, famous for its oysters, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. Enjoy a scenic lagoon cruise with expert commentary on the region’s flora and fauna.

    • Day 6 - Port Elizabeth > Durban

      Discover today the beach side town of Durban, famous for its Indian and colonial influences.

    • Day 8 - Hluhluwe > Ghost Mountain

      Rhino Sanctuary, Enrich - Tribal dance

      The Dolphin Coast region of Natal has a sea of sugarcane fields. Enter Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, world-renowned for its rhino conservation programme. Later, check into your elegant hotel for a two night stay at the foot of Zululand’s legendary Ghost Mountain.

    • Day 11 - Swaziland > Kruger National Park

      Lion Sands Game Reserve

      Kruger National Park borders stretches an impressive 450 kilometres. You’ll enjoy a two night Special Stay at Lion Sands River Lodge, situated on a private concession within the park. The Sabie River flows through it and is home to the highest recorded concentration of leopards in Africa. Take a game drive in an open safari vehicle this afternoon and look out for the ‘Big Five’ before soaking in the ambience while dining at your lodge.

    • Day 12 - Lion Sands Game Reserve (Kruger National Park)

      Limitless game viewing possibilities await as you traverse the entire Kruger National Park in specially adapted Land Rovers to track the ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

      Travel the magnificent Panorama Route on the way to Johannesburg. You’ll view the Blyde River Canyon, third deepest in the world, then visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes. Later, check into your stylish hotel for two nights.

      Explore Soweto with your local guide and visit Nelson Mandela’s house. Learn about the 20th century South Africa at your visit to the Apartheid Museum.

    • Day 15 - Johannesburg > Victoria Falls

      Victoria Falls National Park

      This morning, board your flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The world’s largest sheet of falling water rises up to 108 metres high and spans a gorge carved out of a flat plateau. Check into the marvellously colonial hotel for your three night Special Stay. Tonight’s outdoor dinner features a mesmerising display of traditional dancing.

      Be treated to a special Sundowners cruise down the Zambezi River and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, drink in hand, just upstream from Victoria Falls.

    • Day 16 - Chobe National Park
      Highlights:
      River cruise and game drive

      Today is photography heaven as large concentrations of big game call Chobe National Park home. Embark on a game drive along the shoreline, where predators often come to drink. Later, enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Large pods of hippo and giraffe families inhabit the banks and surrounding woodlands.

    • Day 17 - Victoria Falls

      Enrich

      Visit a typical Zimbabwean village to gain unique insights into traditional tribal life and meet the elephants as part of your visit the elephant sanctuary.

      Later, witness the power of Victoria Falls with a tour of the Zimbabwean side of the world’s largest waterfall. Enjoy dinner in the beautiful Livingstone Restaurant to complete your day.

      Helicopter flight - Enjoy an optional helicopter flight over Victoria Falls for magnificent views. Enquire for details – additional expense, please book on tour.

      Later, you’ll fly to Johannesburg and enjoy an overnight stay.

      Fly to Windhoek, Namibia’s remote capital. Transfer to your hotel,  a former castle overlooking the city.

    • Day 20 - Windhoek > Sossusvlei
      Highlights:
      Flight to Sossusvlei, sand dunes

      Soar over open savannah to the Namib Desert, as beautiful as it is remote. Towering orange sand dunes surround a stunning white salt pan known as Sossusvlei, or ‘gathering place of water’. Surprisingly, this desert wilderness is home to a wide variety of animals, including ostrich, zebra and springbok. For the next two nights, your meticulously appointed lodge will be your home.

    • Day 21 - Sossusvlei

      Dune ascent and desert safari walk Sundowners

      Meet your local guide for an excursion into the dunes and discover how the ancient bushman scratched a living off this barren land. Take the rare opportunity to climb one of the sand dunes (moderate fitness level required) and witness the incredible vistas across the Namib Desert, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

      Marvel at the sunset in the desert with Sundowners on the deck of the lodge. You’ll get to enjoy the company of newfound friends in incredible surrounds.

      Fly north over the desert landscape to the seaside town of Swakopmund, Namibia’s premier resort town. You’ll have time for shopping and can enjoy a fabulous choice of local restaurants as you settle in for your two night stay.

      Take a seal and dolphin cruise in nearby Walvis Bay, or a living desert tour where your local guide will bring the dunes to life.

      Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s most famous and unique game reserves. The waterholes around the Etosha Pan attract vast numbers of big game. Enjoy a three night stay.

      Game drives

      Join your expert game ranger for morning and evening game drives, and enjoy some of Africa’s finest savannah game viewing. Long lines of zebra, giraffe, elephant and springbok wander ancient paths between grasslands and waterholes as predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs wait for their chance in the shallow cover.

      Enjoy one final flight over the landscape to Windhoek before connecting to your homebound flight. Please book flights to depart after 2pm.
