    A great passion for nature, history, culture and food defines this little southern island. With some of the most magnificent untouched wilderness in the world, a rich convict legacy, world-class galleries and artisan produce, Tasmania is a treat for the senses, no matter what your appetite.

    From the salty dockside Salamanca Point to the extraordinary art housed in MONA and the delights of the Cascade Brewery, Hobart is a city you’ll fall in love with before heading south to the World Heritage-listed convict enclave of Port Arthur. History and art combine with a visit to the incredible ‘Wall of Wilderness’ before you go deep into the wilderness with visits to the Franklin-Gordon River and Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Parks. Explore many of the quaint little towns scattered across the island, sampling the finest in Tassie hospitality before heading back to the wilds of Freycinet National Park. The extraordinary Wineglass Bay will capture your imagination before you make your way back to lovely Hobart.

    • Day 1 - Hobart

      Welcome to Hobart and the delights of the Apple Isle. Enjoy a two night special stay at your dockside hotel which includes a special Taste of Tasmania welcome dinner.

    • Day 2 - Port Arthur

      Delve into Tasmania’s convict past with a visit to World Heritage-listed Port Arthur. Your guided tour includes a cruise to the Isle of the Dead, giving you a fascinating insight into the lives and deaths of some of Port Arthur’s past residents, both convicts and free settlers

    • Day 3 - Hobart > Strahan

      Start your day with a visit to the lush rainforest of Mt Field National Park, Tasmania’s oldest, and the location of the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls.


      Witness history in the making with your visit to the ‘Wall in the Wilderness’, a wood-carved history of the Central Tasmanian Highlands that is a continuous work in progress. Greg Duncan has hand-carved a series of scenes into panels commemorating those who have shaped the area’s past and present.

      Travel along the moon scaped road to Queenstown before arriving in the picturesque village of Strahan for an overnight stay.

    • Day 4 - Strahan > Cradle Mountain

      Today you cruise through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon River National Parks. From the luxury of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck enjoy a gourmet lunch of local Tasmanian delicacies. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour and visit heritage landing and Sarah Island. This afternoon take in the pristine alpine vistas of Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Park, where you’ll enjoy a special stay for the next two nights.

    • Day 5 - Cradle Mountain

      Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies this morning to be treated to magnificent views of Cradle Mountain and breathtaking reflections on Dove Lake. Hear the stories from your local guide about the intrepid early settlers of this area.

    • Day 6 - Cradle Mountain > Smithton

      Leave the mountains for the coastal towns of Burnie and Penguin. Enjoy the rugged coastline on the way to the village of Stanley. Discover the aptly-named Dismal Swamp, the only Blackwood sinkhole in the world. Join your local guide as you walk along the cantilevered walkway suspended over the treetops to discover this unique environment and spot rare wildlife. Enjoy Tasmanian hospitality tonight at your hotel for an overnight stay in Smithton.

    • Day 7 - Smithton > Launceston

      Visit the town of Sheffield and discover its history from the murals that are painted on the walls across town. They depict Sheffield’s history, geography, wildlife and people. Upon arriving in the charming city of Launceston visit Cataract Gorge and ride the chairlift to take in its beautiful scenic views. Enjoy a two night stay in Launceston.

    • Day 8 - Launceston

      Choose from a tour of the infamous Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre as well as a visit to the Platypus House and Seahorse World. Alternatively, tour the cool climate wineries in the region or enjoy a leisurely lunch cruise on the Tamar River.

    • Day 9 - Launceston > Freycinet National Park

      Journey to the coast via Legerwood and discover unique tree carvings, a memorial to World War I.


      Learn about the award winning cheeses from Pyengana Dairy Company, reputed to produce Australia’s finest cheddar, and delight your tastebuds with a tasting.

      Your final destination today is the breathtaking Freycinet National Park where you’ll discover this incredible wilderness whilst enjoying a special stay.

    • Day 10 - Freycinet National Park

      A day at leisure to explore this coastal wilderness at your own pace. Marvel at the myriad of colours – pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise waters. Take one of the many walks and soak up the beauty of Wineglass Bay.

    • Day 11 - Freycinet > Hobart

      Travel back to Hobart via the convict towns of Ross and Richmond and see Australia’s oldest bridge, built by convict labour. During a visit to Bonorong National Park meet Tasmanian’s shy and elusive Tasmanian Devil before arriving back at your hotel in Hobart for two nights.

    • Day 12 - Hobart

      Choose from a range of Hobart attractions – enjoy a cruise to Peppermint Bay or take a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery. Alternatively, tour the Huon Valley and walk amongst the fruit orchards or cruise on the MONA ferry and enjoy a tour of the daring Museum of Old and New Art.

      Toast your adventures during tonight’s farewell dinner at the Drunken Admiral Restaurant.

      It’s time to say farewell to new friends and the wonder of Tasmania.
