Destinations to discover

Join us on a journey to Canada’s east, where you will discover Québec City’s grand classic architecture, Toronto’s iconic tower, Ottawa’s Rideau Canal and the world-renowned Niagara Falls. Venture west with us and you will encounter the mountain villages of Banff and Whistler, the bustling city Vancouver and, north-west, the remote pristine wilderness of the Yukon Territory.

Take your journey further north and you will experience an enviable rail journey to the Denali National Park, an Arctic flight setting you down north of the Arctic Circle and a comfortable stay in rustic Anchorage, the northernmost city in the USA.

Cultural experiences

While perhaps best known for its moose, bears, fresh seafood and adventure sports, Canada and Alaska are also home to fascinating cultures. Let us take you behind the scenes with our Scenic Enrich and Scenic FreeChoice programs, which provide unrivalled opportunities to discover the local way of life.

Among our exclusive Scenic Enrich experiences is an opportunity to indulge in authentic French Canadian cuisine at a local Sugar Shack and a ‘Western’ evening featuring dancing and entertainment. You can also step behind the scenes with us by taking a walk along Vancouver’s Capilano Suspension bridge before the park opens and attending a lecture about black bears, hosted by expert Michael Allen.

We also offer a range of included Scenic FreeChoice activities, providing guests with a bespoke itinerary. Adventurous travellers may wish to take a helicopter flight over the Rocky Mountains or encounter orcas (killer whales) by high speed Zodiac. Our other guests may prefer the more leisurely options of afternoon tea in the renowned Fairmont Empress Tea Lobby or nine holes of golf on the Banff Springs Championship Golf Course.

Our latest additions

As the leading Australian operator of small group 5-star journeys to Canada and Alaska, we are proud to announce a range of enhancements to our program in this region.

Among the experiences to look forward to in 2015 is a new 26 day itinerary showcasing the best of North America’s national parks, two journeys on the east coast featuring the Le Massif de Charlevoix train and an exclusive visit to see grizzly bears at Knight Inlet.

Expansions to our Scenic Enrich schedule will see guests taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the Dinosaur Provincial Park and viewing the World Heritage-listed Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump site. Guests will also have the opportunity to savour new hotels visits, including a stay at the Sparkling Hill Resort in Canada’s premium wine region, Okanagan Valley.
