11 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Arrive Adelaide

    Welcome to Adelaide, South Australia’s capital, renowned for its gourmet delights and thriving culture. From the airport you will be transferred to your hotel, your home for the next three nights. Enjoy a welcome dinner to celebrate the wonders of South Australia with your travel companions.

  2. Day 2 - Adelaide

    Discover the history and culture of Adelaide on a walking tour or taste your way through the Adelaide Central Markets. Alternatively, choose between an Adelaide city sights tour which includes the famous, newly renovated Adelaide Oval or a Torrens River cruise with a visit to the Adelaide Zoo.

  3. Day 3 - Barossa Valley

    Spend the day discovering the Barossa Valley’s famous drop. Appreciate the chance to try wine from the year of your birth at Seppeltsfield before lunch, then take a vineyard tour of the award-winning Jacob’s Creek Winery before returning to Adelaide.

  4. Day 4 - Ghan

    Board the legendary Ghan today for your overnight trip to Alice Springs. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant whilst the pastoral lands of South Australia merge into rugged mallee scrub. Marvel as the spectacular Flinders Ranges disappear into the horizon. As darkness falls dinner is served with a selection of local wines for you to choose from.

  5. Day 5 - Alice Springs

    Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise at Marla before enjoying a gourmet breakfast on board the train. Arriving in Alice Springs visit the Royal Flying Doctors service which inspired a television series and has been providing medical care to remote communities for over 150 years. Check into your hotel for your overnight stay. Dinner tonight is served outdoors and is an outback bush BBQ with bush damper cooking and entertainment by a bush balladeer.

  6. Day 6 - Alice Springs > Uluru (Ayers Rock)

    Travel through Australia’s desert landscape before arriving at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for a two-night Special Stay at a unique luxury retreat

    Tonight, you’re invited to a dining experience set amidst an outdoor exhibit called Field of Light. The mesmerising artwork, created by Bruce Munro, will be created from thousands of bulbs planted in the desert surrounding Uluru in the outback. As the sun sets and the lights twinkle, you’ll enjoy canapés, complimentary drinks and authentic Australian cuisine.

  7. Day 7 - Uluru (Ayers Rock)

    Watch the sun rise over Uluru, before choosing from a number of exciting activities. Take to the asphalt for a leisurely ride on a Harley Davidson™, in the capable hands of an experienced rider, embark on an Uluru Highlights and Cultural Tour, trek around the rock’s giant base, or explore the desert by camel.

    This afternoon is yours to discover the mysteries of Kata Juta, followed by enjoying the sunset over Uluru from the viewing area.

  8. Day 8 - Uluru (Ayers Rock) > Cairns

    Say goodbye to the Red Centre as you join your afternoon flight to Cairns. Upon Arrival check in to your Hotel for a three night stay. Enjoy an evening at leisure, unwind and savour the laid-back ambiance of the city.

  9. Day 9 - Great Barrier Reef

    Travel to Port Douglas and take a high-speed catamaran to a pontoon moored on the Outer Barrier Reef. Snorkel with an instructor and enjoy viewing the coral and sea life from a semi-submersible boat, taking a closer look at the underwater life.

    After getting up-close-and-personal with one of the ‘Seven Natural Wonders of the World’, you are invited to experience this epic icon from above during a short helicopter flight, offering unparalleled views of one of the planet’s most enchanting treasures.

  10. Day 10 - Cairns

    Soar over the Atherton Tablelands on a hot air balloon flight at sunrise, or journey through magnificent rainforest on the Kuranda Scenic Railway before returning by Skyrail.  Alternatively, enjoy a great Australian wildlife experience at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures or The Best of the Cairns Tablelands which includes local tastings of smoked meats and native herbs.

    Tonight enjoy the Spirit of Cairns dinner cruise.
