  1. Day 1 - Madrid

    Welcome to Madrid. Your journey of wonder begins with a two night stay at your centrally located hotel.

  2. Day 2 - Madrid

    Today enjoy a guided tour of Madrid, taking in Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, the ‘Austrian’ Quarter, and a visit to the 18th century Royal Palace.

  3. Day 3 - Madrid > Salamanca

    Visit the delightful Prado Museum where your guide will escort you through the collections. Alternatively, try a fun Flamenco Dance workshop.

    This afternoon visit Segovia and enjoy an orientation tour, to see the famous Roman aqueduct. Upon arrival in Salamanca, check into Hospes Palacio de San Esteban before your local guide shows you this beautiful city. During your guided tour, see the imposing cathedral as well as the 15th century House of Shells.

  4. Day 4 - Salamanca > Porto

    Today cross the border into Portugal and continue to Porto, the city that lays at the beginning of the picturesque Douro Valley. Check into the Sheraton Porto before touring the city. See the Palacio da Bolsa and São Francisco Church before taking a Rabelo boat cruise and seeing the city from a different perspective.

  5. Day 5 - Porto > Lisbon

    This morning visit the historic district of Vila Nova de Gaia and sample some of the Port this region is renowned for. Enroute to Lisbon, visit the town of Obidos, a delightful walled town with a myriad of cobblestone streets. This afternoon, check into your hotel for your two night stay.

    Enjoy a tour of Lisbon this morning and taste the famous Pasteis de Nata before a guided visit of the Hieronymite Monastery. Enjoy lunch in Cascais before an afternoon in Sintra, visiting the 500-year-old Palacio Nacional.

  7. Day 7 - Lisbon > Seville

    This morning bid farewell to Portugal and return to Spain.

    This morning see Ronda during a walking tour including the Bullring and the Casa don Bosco then continue your journey to Córdoba. On arrival, see all this city has to offer, including the Jewish quarter, the Aljama Mosque and Synagogue before arriving at your hotel.

  11. Day 11 - Córdoba > Granada

    From Córdoba, a scenic drive will take you to a Spanish mountain village where you’ll enjoy the warm hospitality of locals over a traditional lunch. This afternoon, you’ll arrive at your captivating hotel in Granada. Tonight, enjoy a traditional La Tuna Folk Band performance accompanied by dinner.

  12. Day 12 - Granada > Valencia

    On your guided tour of Valencia this morning, see the City of Arts and Sciences and visit the Silk Exchange. Then, continue to the Catalonian city of Barcelona.     Situated on the northern tip of Europe’s longest coastal beach, Arcachon is the jewel of France’s western coastline.

  24. Day 24 - Blaye > Bordeaux

    Discover the remarkable Blaye region, established to protect the Bordeaux region from invasion.

Alternatively, join a 30 kilometre roundtrip cycle along the Captain’s Road, which is named in honour of the WWI Captains who chose to purchase their homes along this beautiful stretch of waterway in the early 20th century. Or, explore the stunning beauty of the fairytale Château de La Roche Courbon. This fortified castle was originally built in the 15th century and is surrounded by magnificently manicured gardens.

    Later, enjoy a cooking class in Scenic Culinaire or simply relax on board as we cruise past beautiful uninhabited islands, bound for Bordeaux. Dine at the Captain’s farewell dinner on board this evening.
