16 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Dead Sea

    Arrive into Amman Jordan and transfer to the Dead Sea where your journey into wonder begins. Enjoy a two night Special Stay at your resort on the shores of the Dead Sea. Relax and enjoy sweeping views over the Dead Sea and across to Israel from your balcony. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner and toast the beginning of a wonderful journey.

  2. Day 2 - Dead Sea

    Enjoy the facilities of your resort including direct access to the sea. Spoil yourself and allow the staff to lather you in therapeutic mud, or float in the hypersaline waters of the Dead Sea, while reading a book or newspaper.

  3. Day 3 - Dead Sea > Wadi Rum

    Visit Madaba, discover the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land, and visit the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration. Travel in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia as you discover the dramatic desert landscapes of Wadi Rum where you will feel like you have stepped onto the moon during your Special Stay in the luxurious Bubble tents of the Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel.

  4. Day 4 - Wadi Rum > Petra

    Explore Lawrence Road and marvel at the vistas of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of the pink and white sands, before lunch at a Bedouin Camp. At Bethany Beyond the Jordan, see where Jesus was baptised, then view the memorial to Moses at Mount Nebo and continue to the Rose Red City of Petra for your two night stay. Later this evening, an unforgettable sight awaits as you visit the Treasury and chasms lit by candlelight (subject to seasonal operation).

  5. Day 5 - Petra

    Discover this magnificent World Heritage-listed city, the legacy of the Nabataeans who settled in southern Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. The impressive eastern entrance leads through a brilliantly coloured narrow gorge to the imposing Treasury, more than 40 metres high. Designed to impress, the rock-cut facade will take your breath away.

  6. Day 6 - Petra > Amman

    Travel to the capital of the Kingdom of Jordan, Amman, where you’ll enjoy a two night stay. Join your Tour Director for a walk through the food and produce markets and stop to taste some traditional Jordanian sweets.

    This afternoon, choose from a tour of Citadel Hill & the Roman Theatre or visit the Royal Automobile Museum and its vast collection. Alternatively, experience Jordan’s wine heritage with a wine and food tasting in the Abdali walking district.

  9. Day 9 - Tel Aviv

    Bathed in Mediterranean sunshine, hummus-infused aromas, and Bauhaus-era buildings, Tel Aviv is a vibrant metropolis that is quick to charm. Take an enlightening tour with an expert art-historian guide who will bowl you over with tales about the 4,000-year-old port city of Jaffa and explore the archaeological ruins and winding alleyways. Browse through the curios of the street markets and be enthralled by World Heritage-listed Bauhaus buildings of the White City quarter, then visit scenic Tel Aviv port. Enrich: Spend the afternoon at a local families home in the Ajami neighbourhood of Jaffa. Taste traditional Arabic coffee and delicacies whilst you hear personal stories of the joys and complexities of growing up in a city which has strong connections to numerous religious faiths.

  10. Day 10 - Tel Aviv > Sea of Galilee

    Discover the intriguing history of Israel’s mountainous region as you drive to Caesarea, the Roman capital of Judea. You will have the chance to view the archaeological discoveries of the Crusader city and the Roman port, including a restored amphitheatre and aqueduct. Later, proceed to your hotel for the next two nights. This evening enjoy seasonal local ingredients in dishes that pay homage to the Christian-Arab cuisine of the region at Magdalena.

  11. Day 11 - Sea of Galilee

    Your first look at the scenic region of Galilee will be on a tranquil boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to the biblical village of Capernaum, and then proceed to the place of the miracle of multiplication of the loaves and fishes, Tabgha. On Galilee’s north-western shores, visit the Mount of Beatitudes. Continue to Kibbutz Ein Gev and learn about the unique kibbutz community. Return to your hotel, stopping en route at a local winery for a tour and wine tasting.

  12. Day 12 - Sea of Galilee > Jerusalem

    Travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent his childhood and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation. Ascend the Judean Mountains to Jerusalem, and your home for the next four nights.

  13. Day 13 - Jerusalem

    A Holy City for three of the world’s great religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam – Jerusalem occupies a unique place in humanity. Stand before the Western Wall, famously called the ‘Wailing Wall’, and soak in the aura of the holiest of Jerusalem’s Jewish sites. Continue along the winding streets of the Jewish Quarter to visit the historic Hurva Synagogue.

    Today, explore 5000 years of cultural treasures at the Israel Museum Jerusalem with an experienced historian, including the Billy Rose Art Garden designed by the Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi. Afternoon at leisure to explore the holy city steeped in history and full of secrets to discover at your own pace.

  15. Day 15 - Jerusalem

    Get a holistic perspective on the past, present and future of Jerusalem through a unique dual narrative experience with your two tour guides – one Jewish Israeli and one Palestinian. Witness the revered sites of the Old City through their eyes, consider recent tensions, and ponder the city’s future.

    This afternoon, we travel to Bethlehem. Immerse yourself into the history and spirituality as you explore the site of Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity, and the monasteries of the Shepherd’s Fields.

    Visit Bethlehem University and meet faculty members and students. The University community provides an opportunity for Palestinian students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and values they will need to live a full life, despite the situation in which they find themselves.

    This evening, experience the uplifting songs that distinguish the Jewish faith and Israeli culture at a Yiddish Klezmer club. Savour local tapas as the band provides a spirited soundtrack.

  16. Day 16 - Jerusalem > Tel Aviv

    Bid farewell to Jerusalem as you transfer to Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv for your onward flight home.
