  1. Day 1 - Athens

    Begin your journey in Athens, where a world of ancient myths and intriguing culture awaits. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers this evening for a welcome drink, before settling in for your three night stay.

  2. Day 2 - Athens

    Discover the bustling Greek capital with a guided city tour. Explore the city’s mix of ancient and contemporary with your local guide, including a visit to the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, the impressive Panathenaiko Stadium. You’ll also visit many of the city’s ancient wonders, such as the World Heritage-listed Acropolis, the Propylaea, and the Parthenon, just to name a few.

    Visit the Acropolis Museum, situated overlooking the famed Acropolis offering stunning 360-degree views of the city, and discover the many ancient treasures on display. Alternatively, take a walking tour through Plaka, the oldest district in Athens, learning about local handicrafts along the way.

  3. Day 3 - Athens

    Aegina, the closest island to Athens, is the perfect place to experience a slice of Greek Island life, along with many ancient sites. Spend some time exploring the neo-classical buildings of Aegina-town, before discovering the magnificent Temple of Afaia, one of the best-preserved Doric temples in Greece. Head to Moni Agiou Nektariou for a wander around this 400-year old monastery nestled up in the hills before lunch at a traditional ocean-front tavern.

  4. Day 4 - Nafplion

    Today travel towards Nafplion, Greece’s historic first capital. You’ll have the opportunity to stop and admire the 23-metre wide Corinth Canal, before continuing to the small village of Epidaurus, where you’ll visit the renowned Great Theatre of Epidaurus, dating back to 4th century BC. This afternoon, arrive in the charming town of Nafplion and discover this picturesque seaside port with a guided city tour. Notice the many Venetian and Ottoman influences that make this city unique, as your guide takes you through the narrow streets of the Old Town, finishing your tour at the imposing Palamidi Fortress. Relax tonight at your hotel, where you’ll enjoy a one night Special Stay.

  5. Day 5 - Olympia

    This morning begins with a visit to the important archaeological site of Mycenae. Learn about the legendary Agamemnon, as you marvel at the fortified ruins where once stood the most powerful kingdom in Greece. As we continue towards Olympia, stop at local winery Skouras Domaine for a wine tasting. Then join a cooking class followed by a delicious lunch in the traditional village of Vytina. Continue to the small ancient town of Olympia, renowned as the site of the first Olympic Games held over 2,800 years ago. Here we’ll visit the Olympia Archaeological site, home to many extraordinary monuments such as the Temples of Hera and Zeus, and the ancient stadium where the torch of the modern Olympic Games is still lit today. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Museum, which proudly displays relics dating back to prehistoric times. Tonight, enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant before your overnight stay.

  6. Day 6 - Delphi

    Depart today for the mountainside town of Delphi, considered by Zeus to be the centre of the world if ancient Greek mythology is to be believed. Explore significant historical sites such as the ancient ruins of the Temple of Apollo, and the Archaeological Museum of Delphi. Stop at local honey farm for a tour and olive tasting before reaching your accommodation for the night,

  7. Day 7 - Meteora > Kalambaka

    Continue today to the World Heritage-listed site of Meteora. See the natural wonders of 60 million year old rock formations, with incredible Byzantine monasteries dating back to the 14th century balanced high on the rock pillars above. Originally, more than twenty monasteries once hovered high in the mountains, today only six stoically remain.

    Visit the fascinating Monastery of Rousanou and the Antonite Varlaam Monastery, followed by a panoramic driving tour through the mountains for breathtaking views of this remarkable site, or for those feeling more active, follow the old footpaths monks have walked for centuries on a guided hike, exploring monasteries along the way, some still proudly standing and others in ruins.

    Tonight you’ll be treated to a home hosted dinner, before your overnight stay.

  8. Day 8 - Athens

    Today we journey back to Athens, as we make our way to the city centre’s highest point, Lycabettus Hill.

    Take an enjoyable ride on the funicular railway to the peak and be rewarded with spectacular views across the city. At the top is the setting for our unforgettable farewell dinner.

    Return to your hotel in Athens for a one night stay.

  10. Day 10 - Kea

    Kea (also called Tzia) is characterised by hilly countryside and quiet beaches. The local waters are home to several shipwrecks, including Titanic’s sister ship, Britannic, which sank in 1916. With earthy tones and elegant architecture that differs from other Greek islands, Kea is also known for its verdant natural paradise, home to rare plant species and wild animals.

  11. Day 11 - Paros

    Quieter than its more famous neighbours, Paros is the perfect blend of traditional architecture, stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and gorgeous little rural villages. In May this island is especially quiet, giving you ample opportunity to wander the beautiful alleys, explore the quaint local shops and admire the historic churches. Paros was a major source of flawless marble during the early Cycladic period and its stone was used in famous sculptures such as Venus de Milo and Napoleon’s tomb.   12. Day 12 - Santorini

    A part of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea, Santorini is an island like no other. This volcanic land is famous for white-washed buildings and blue-domed churches and offers stunning views across the turquoise waters. Treat your taste buds to the ultimate gastronomic experience by exploring the island's famous wineries and sample delicacies such as ‘ntomatokeftedes’, a tomato fritter. Explore the caldera edge as you traverse the cobblestone streets from Fira to Oia and learn about the great history of Hellenistic temples and ancient Minoan settlement.

  13. Day 13 - Chania

    This 14th century Venetian harbour, with narrow cobbled streets, colourful buildings and waterfront restaurants will immerse you in Grecian culture. Walk back through time in the Medieval old town, breathe in the scent of olive oil, delve into the local history in small museums, and talk to the welcoming locals enjoying a coffee under a shady tree.  Before long you will be in love with this picturesque town.   14. Day 14 - Monemvasia

    The medieval castle town of Monemvasia has a unique fairy-tale atmosphere. Surrounded by the teal waters of the Aegean, Monemvasia was carved on the backside of a sea rock and previously only accessible by boat. Walking around the paved streets, by the elegant stone mansions and the Byzantine churches while gazing out to the Myrtoan Sea will have you losing sense of time.

  15. Day 15 - Fiskardo, Kefalonia Island

    Fiskardo is a sailor’s paradise, home to fish tavernas and cafes that offer the quintessential Greek dining experience that has seduced travellers since decades. Located on the northern tip of Kefalonia, Fiskardo is the only village on Kefalonia that has original Venetian buildings intact and still in use. The hamlet was also virtually untouched by the great earthquake in 1953. This is a region of great natural beauty, perfectly preserved ruins that date back over 2000 years, and calm, azure waters.   16. Day 16 - Giardini Naxos (Taormina), Italy

    Taormina is one of Sicily’s most popular summer destinations, and the gateway to the treasures of the island, with Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, dominating the backdrop. The picturesque small town located above the Ionian Sea is known for its stunning ancient theatre, astonishing vistas and fabulous luxury atmosphere. With rich artistic, historical and cultural heritage it's no wonder the seaside town has drawn in flocks of visitors since the eighteenth century.
