Well this incredible region is closer to home than you may realise; in fact, it is Australia. An extraordinary continent that will excite, inspire, and amaze you, plus, when you travel in Australia with Scenic, you can be assured you will be looked after every step of the way.
Each year when our new small group touring program is released, we enhance our itineraries with any new attractions and ensure we only include the best guest experiences, considering all guest feedback from the earlier season. Here is a selection of new highlights for Australia in 2021, to ensure your holiday is truly unforgettable.

New Itinerary: Mystical Kimberley: 13 days Darwin > Broome

If you’re keen to explore the Kimberley and Top End with Scenic in 2021, we have a new itinerary for you. Don’t wait too long to book however, because this one will fill up quickly with the once-in-a-lifetime experiences that are included. The ancient stories of the Kimberley will be revealed as you journey from Darwin to Broome into the remarkable wilderness. The highlight, which is new to our Scenic itineraries, will be flying directly into Purnululu National Park for an overnight stay in the heart of the Bungle Bungles among the 300 million-year-old striped domes. Not only will you take in the amazing sight from the air, but you will down on the ground amongst it including the mind-blowing Cathedral Gorge. This is an utterly unique, bucket list travel experience. You will also explore Kakadu National Park and Katherine Gorge, and travel along the famed Gibb River Road to El Questro Wilderness Park. Meeting many characters along the way who will no doubt be just as memorable as the spectacular locations you visit.

New Scenic Enrich experience at Gemtree Wines in McLaren Vale

Gems of South Australia (formerly known as Tastes of South Australia), features a Scenic Enrich experience that is new to Scenic at the biodynamic Gemtree Wines. The winemakers at Gemtree sustainably and organically grow and farm their grapes to make their wines. The biodynamic methods entwine the health of the soil, vines and resident fauna and flora, resulting in exceptional fruit quality and wines of high purity. Meet the winemakers who were the worldwide winner of Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices in 2019. They will take you through an interactive experience at the Biodynamic hut where you will learn all about biodynamic viticulture. Complete your visit with a tasting of locally sourced snacks.

Kalbarri Sky Walk, Western Australia

The new Kalbarri Skywalk features two cantilevered viewing platforms that offer soaring views of the Murchison Gorge. The platforms project out 25m and 17m beyond the gorge rim and are more than 100m above the river below. The cantilevered steel structures, which are anchored deep into the sandstone, allow visitors to look down into the gorge through steel mesh. Art by the local Indigenous Nanda people is incorporated in the design along the walkway leading to the platforms. The Skywalk platforms are easily accessible for everyone.
